Description
A soothing, homemade tummy tea recipe made with Ayurvedic herbs to reduce bloating, aid digestion, and support natural detox—perfect for daily gut support.
Ingredients
2 cups water
1 tbsp fresh ginger (or small chunk)
1 dried licorice root
1 tbsp fennel seeds
5 whole black pepper
5 fresh mint leaves
2 holy basil (tulsi) leaves
1 tbsp dried chamomile (optional)
1 tsp honey (optional)
Few drops lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil water in a small pot.
2. Add fennel, ginger, black pepper, licorice root, mint, and tulsi leaves.
3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
4. Remove from heat, add chamomile if using, cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
5. Strain into a mug.
6. Add honey and lemon juice if desired.
7. Sip warm, store leftovers in fridge up to 7 days.
Notes
Make a large batch in the morning and sip throughout the day.
For children, dilute with extra water.
Can be served iced in warmer weather.
Adjust ingredients to taste or based on availability.
