I’m so glad you stopped by.
Hi, I’m Lina. I’m a home cook, a total flavor chaser, and the hands behind every recipe here at Allsorts Recipes. This cozy corner of the internet is where I share the dishes that fill my kitchen and my table, and honestly, a lot of my happiest memories too. I’m also a wife, a tea-before-coffee kind of person, and a mom to one very curious little helper who has definitely “taste tested” more than her fair share of cookie dough.
Behind the Recipes at Allsorts
My love for cooking didn’t come from a culinary degree or a picture perfect kitchen. It came from real life, the messy and delicious kind. I learned the way most home cooks do, by trying, messing up, and trying again. I burned things, under seasoned soups, and baked the same banana bread five times until it finally tasted like home.

Allsorts Recipes started during a season that felt both quieter and busier at the same time. Life slowed down just enough for me to notice what had always been true: the kitchen was my favorite place to land. It’s where I celebrate the good stuff, soften the hard days, and reconnect with the people I love. I never planned to start a food blog, but after jotting recipes for friends, texting ingredient swaps to family, and hearing “you should really write this down” more than once, it felt like the next natural step.
I’m not a chef. I’m a home cook who believes in the comfort of a good meal, the stories food carries, and that little spark of joy when something homemade hits the table and everyone goes back for seconds.
About Allsorts Recipes
Allsorts Recipes is where comfort meets creativity, one home cooked dish at a time. You’ll find a little bit of everything here because my kitchen, like life, is full of variety. From nostalgic classics to fresh twists on familiar favorites, every recipe is made with real ingredients, tested in my own kitchen, and meant for real tables, with crumbs, spills, and seconds included.
Here’s what you’ll find around here:
- Quick weeknight dinners that come together fast, taste amazing, and won’t leave you with a sink full of dishes. Think skillet dinners, sheet pan meals, and cozy one pot recipes.
- Weekend baking projects that are worth slowing down for, like tender muffins, rich layered cakes, and cookies that mysteriously disappear the minute they cool.
- Family favorites that are passed down, reworked, or created from a sudden craving. The kind of recipes that bring back memories or help you make new ones.
- Seasonal and holiday recipes that make the table feel extra special, whether it’s a sunny picnic salad or a cozy side dish for a winter gathering.
- And plenty of just because treats, because sometimes the only reason you need is “I want something sweet.”
Along the way, I’ll also share the little tips, swaps, and shortcuts that make cooking easier, because anyone can cook with confidence when the steps are clear and the flavors do the talking.
